Account Manager
Our mission is to give every website owner the understanding a company with an analyst has. The first step is building the best analytics tool for AI founders: one that reads the data and writes the conclusion, so nobody has to decode a chart. We are small, flat and self-funded, and the people who answer support email write the code. We like people who are direct, curious and happy to ship, and we spend our days reading customers' data and building what it tells us to.
About the role
As an Account Manager at Clerion, you will look after the people who pay for the product. You will get new customers set up and reading their first briefing, keep existing customers getting value every month, and grow the accounts that are ready to grow. You will be the person they email, and the reply they get.
There is no script and no quota theatre here. Renewals come from a site that is getting value, not from chasing. You will answer email, run short calls, and carry what customers tell you straight back to the people building the product, in a form they can act on.
What you will do
- Onboard every new customer: the script tag installed, goals defined, history imported, the first briefing read together.
- Own renewals and upgrades by making sure each site is getting value, and by knowing early when one is not.
- Answer support and billing questions with a plain, accurate reply, usually the same day.
- Run short calls with customers who want them, and read their dashboard with them.
- Spot the accounts that have outgrown their plan and have the conversation before they hit a limit.
- Keep a weekly note for the team: what confused people, what they asked for, what made them leave.
- Write the help articles that would have saved you the last ten emails.
- Build the playbook for onboarding and renewals as you go, so the next account manager starts from it.
- Be the voice of the customer in every roadmap discussion, with the emails to back it up.
You may be a fit if
- You have looked after customers for a software product and can show accounts you kept and grew.
- You can read an analytics dashboard and explain it to someone who cannot, without talking down to them.
- You write short, warm, exact emails, and you would rather send one good reply than three quick ones.
- You are comfortable saying no to a customer and explaining why, and saying yes and making it happen.
- You notice patterns across conversations and can turn ten emails into one clear request to engineering.
- You have run or helped run a small website or online business, so you know what founders are looking at.
- You are organised enough to carry a hundred accounts in your head and a system.
- You want a role where the customer's word reaches the roadmap through you.
How to apply
Using the product first is required.
- Use Clerion on a real site for at least a week. Start the 14-day trial, install the script tag, read your briefings. This is required, not optional: we only hire people who have used the product.
- Write down one idea. Something Clerion should do, stop doing, or do differently, based on what you saw. A paragraph is enough.
- Email hello@getclerion.com with the role in the subject, your idea, and links to your work: GitHub, a product you shipped, or writing.
