When Matomo is still the right tool
If your rule is that data must stay on infrastructure you control, Matomo self-hosted is the answer. If your rule is that you do not track people, Clerion meets it for a fraction of the effort.

Export from Matomo as CSV and drop it in. Clerion reads it in your browser and keeps two years of history. Paste one line into your site and switch the server off when you are ready.
