See where visitors leave your website
User flow shows how visitors move through your site and where they stop. Every session is traced page to page and drawn as a map; the page where most people leave stands out, and clicking any page shows its visits, its drop-off, and the pages people came from and went to next.
What you see
| On the Flows page | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| The map | Pages as nodes, moves between them as lines, thicker where more people went |
| A page's panel | Visits, how many left there, where they came from, where they went next |
| Top paths | The routes visitors take most often, start to finish |
| Exits | The pages visitors leave from most, with their share of all exits |
How it works
The snippet records each page a visitor loads, including client-side route changes in a single-page app, so sessions are traced with no setup. The map is drawn from the sessions in the selected period, and it follows every filter: click a source or a device and the flow narrows to those visitors.
The briefing reads the same data. When most leavers stop on one page, it names the page and what to put on it.
Limits
| Limit | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pages, not scrolls | The flow is between pages. Scroll depth and active time are on the Engagement card. |
| The period you pick | The map is built from the sessions in the selected range. |
Set it up
Nothing beyond the one script tag. To learn why people leave a page, add the exit question.
Questions
Can I see the flow for ChatGPT visitors only?
Yes. Click chatgpt.com in the sources and the map narrows to those sessions.
Does it replay sessions?
No. Clerion records no session replays. It shows the path and the counts, and the exit question asks leaving visitors why.
