What is an AI crawler checker?
An AI crawler checker tests whether the bots behind AI assistants, such as GPTBot for ChatGPT, ClaudeBot for Claude and PerplexityBot for Perplexity, can reach and read a website. This one runs seven checks on your homepage: robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, how much text is readable without JavaScript, the title and meta description, llms.txt, structured data, sitemap.xml and the main heading. It returns a score out of 100 and the fixes in order.
Can ChatGPT see my website?
Only if its crawler is allowed in and can read your pages. ChatGPT uses GPTBot to fetch pages and OAI-SearchBot for search answers. If robots.txt blocks them, or your content only appears after JavaScript runs, ChatGPT cannot quote you. Enter your address above and the first two rows tell you.
Why does it matter whether AI can read my site?
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google's AI answers now send real visitors, and they only recommend sites they have read. A site their crawlers cannot reach is left out of every answer, however good it is.
What does the score mean?
Each of the seven checks is weighted by how much it affects what an assistant can read. A pass on the crawler and raw-content checks counts most. 100 means every check passed.
Is this the same as SEO?
It overlaps. A sitemap, a title and an h1 help both. But blocked AI crawlers, content that only exists after JavaScript runs, and llms.txt are specific to answer engines and rarely appear in an SEO audit.
What happens to the address I enter?
The checker fetches your homepage, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap once, scores them, and keeps the result for ten minutes so a shared link loads fast. Nothing is stored beyond that and you do not need an account.
