ChatGPT for analytics, without the copy-paste
It's Guessing, Not Reading Your Data.
You've done it. Copied a chunk of GA4 data, pasted it into ChatGPT, typed "why did my traffic drop," and got back an answer that sounded smart and was mostly a guess.
Then you didn't do it again. Not because you forgot. Because it wasn't actually useful.
Here's what really happens when you try this.
Step one is ten minutes of spreadsheet work.
Before you can ask anything, you have to go get the data. Pull traffic by page. Pull bounce rate. Pull device split. Pull the date range you actually care about. Format it so a chatbot can read it without choking. By the time you're done, you've spent more time preparing the question than you would have spent just staring at the dashboard.
Most people quit here. Not because the idea is bad. Because the friction is real.
It doesn't know what "your weakest region" means.
ChatGPT has no memory of your business. Every time you open a new chat, you're starting from zero. You explain your funnel again. You explain your baseline again. You explain what "normal" looks like for your site, again, because it forgot everything from last week.
That's not an assistant. That's a very smart intern who gets fired at the end of every conversation.
It guesses when the data's incomplete, and it sounds confident doing it.
Paste a partial export and ask why traffic dropped, and you will get an answer. It will sound reasonable. It might be wrong, because you didn't paste the one column that actually explains it, and the model doesn't know what it's missing. It just fills the gap and moves on.
For a business decision, a confident guess is worse than no answer. You act on it. Then you find out three weeks later it was the wrong fix.
And even when it works once, it never becomes a habit.
Say you push through all of that. You format the CSV, you explain your business, you get a decent answer. Great. Now do it again next Monday. And the Monday after that.
You won't. The friction resets every single time, and habits don't survive friction. The only way this becomes something you actually use is if it lives where the data already lives, one keystroke away, with zero setup.
So we built that instead.
Ask Clerion is a chat panel inside your dashboard. Press ⌘K, ask in plain English, get an answer built from your actual data. No exporting. No formatting. No re-explaining your business every time. It already knows your traffic, your funnel, and your baseline, because it's sitting on top of your real numbers, not a CSV you pasted five minutes ago.
Ask it the thing you'd ask a sharp colleague who happened to memorize every number on your site.
"Why did my traffic drop last week?" It doesn't just show you the dip. It finds where the fall started, checks whether it's one region or one page bleeding visitors, and tells you why in a sentence.
Push it further: "Give me three things to test this week." You get three, tied to the actual cause. Not "improve engagement." Something like: your top landing page loads slow on mobile, that's where people are leaving, fix that first.
"Build a fix plan for my worst-performing page" It finds the page quietly costing you the most, reads its load time and scroll depth, and hands back three to five ranked steps. It ends by naming the one metric to watch, so you know if it worked.
"Turn my top pages into a content strategy" It reads what's already pulling your most engaged visitors and builds your next content plan on what's working, not a guess about what might.
Steal these too:
- "Give me a Facebook ads plan for my weakest regions."
- "Write a plan to stop my biggest visitor drop-off."
- "Give me a mobile conversion fix list."
- "Plan how to double my best traffic source."
It's a conversation, not a one-shot prompt. Ask a follow-up. It holds the thread. Close the panel and the whole thing saves itself for next week.
What it won't do, on purpose.
It only knows your Clerion data. Nothing invented, nothing borrowed from another tool. If a page had no visits, or the data isn't in yet for a date, it says so instead of filling the gap. It advises in words. It doesn't take actions on your account for you.
That's the whole bet we're making. The value was never an answer that sounds confident. It's an answer you can actually trust, because you know exactly where it came from.
You already tried the ChatGPT-and-a-CSV version. It didn't stick, because it was never built for this. This was.
Open the panel. Ask it the thing you've been wondering about your site.

Frequently asked questions
Can ChatGPT analyze my website analytics?
It can analyze files you upload, but you have to export and format the data yourself, re-explain your business in each new chat, and it may fill gaps when the export is missing key columns.
Why are ChatGPT answers about my traffic sometimes wrong?
If the export leaves out the column that explains a change, the model doesn't know it's missing and may produce a plausible but wrong answer.
What is Ask Clerion?
A chat panel inside the Clerion dashboard, opened with Cmd+K, that answers plain-English questions using your tracked traffic, funnel and baseline data.
Does Ask Clerion invent numbers?
No. It only uses your Clerion data, says when data is missing instead of guessing, and gives advice in words without taking actions on your account.
